The Perky-Pet® AntGuard® effectively repels ants from feeders and easily mounts in-line with hanging bird feeders.
AntGuard® was accepted for use on hummingbird feeders by the US EPA. Permethrin is used in many household products, including dog flea collars and children’s shampoo, and impregnated fabric is now used in US Military combat uniforms to repel mosquitoes. Like the naturally derived pyrethrin, which originates from chrysanthemums and was the inspiration for this substance, it should be kept away from ponds, streams or other bodies of water due to aquatic organism risk.
